Dominio do Punctum was founded in 2005 as a family venture by three siblings. Today, more than fifteen years later, it’s a winery dedicated to organic and biodynamic farming with a respect for the land & traditions of their area.
The vineyard is located in an area where wine culture has been around for decades. It sits in an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. The continental mediterranean climate of this territory brings plenty of sunlight to the vineyard, and the clay soil retains water, essential for the health of the vines. The heat during the day ripens the grapes easily, then during the night the temperature drops and creates a sharp contrast that heightens the aromas and flavors of the wine.
Galerna is the wind that runs through the North coast of Spain. Like blooming flowers this wind usually arrives in the spring. Just like the Galerna, this fresh & fruity wine will sweep you off your feet! The Garnacha grapes thrives in hot and windy climates such as Punctum's.
Shows classic Grenache notes of wood smoke, cranberries, Bing cherries, strawberries, tree bark, dried citrus peel & white pepper on the nose. In the mouth, it offers plenty of cherry & wild strawberry fruit, earthy underbrush nuances, medium-bodied richness & a juicy finish. This little wine is loaded with complexity & drinks with the grace of a wine two-to-three times its price.
