Blue Rock Vineyard, owned and operated by Kenny Kahn, is a small artisanal winery in Alexander Valley that produces high quality, hand-crafted, Bordeaux-inspired wines and Pinot Noir from Sonoma County grapes.
Blue Rock currently has 46 acres of vineyards planted with five Bordeaux varietals and three acres of hillside Syrah. The vineyards are densely planted with low-yielding vines and are managed following sustainable agricultural practices. The Kahn's added another thirty acres of land, 25 planted to Pinot Noir in the Petaluma Gap.
The Petit Verdot, Merlot & Malbec come from the Blue Rock estate vineyard in Alexander Valley and the Pinot Noir from Gapstone Vineyard in The Petaluma Gap. It has a beautiful dusty pink color. It opens with bright & intense aromas of watermelon sorbet, freshly picked strawberries and mineral notes of wet stone. The palate is lively & energetic, showcasing flavors of unsweetened dried cranberry, wild strawberry, tangy kiwi, orange zest and pink sea salt, finishing with tart, yet balanced, acidity . It is refreshing, full of verve, light on its feet and satisfying on every level!
