Husband-and-wife team Matt and Alexis Iaconis founded Delta as a line of small-production wines to champion a host of their favorite regions around the Golden State. The rising star winemaker and Master Somm (respectively) decided they also wanted to a) make an everyday-priced line of wines, that b) encouraged farmers to take steps toward organic farming, while c) donating a portion of all proceeds to a variety of environmental orgs devoted to fighting climate change.
The Syrah for this lively, bright Rosé came straight from a cool-climate vineyard in the Sacramento Delta. It’s a limited production, with only a little over 600 cases to go around. In the glass, it is an intense, almost electric pink which leads to a juicy red fruited, citrus filled nose. The palate leads with punchy white raspberry, watermelon, strawberry & creamy citrus. All that fruit is carried along a smooth wave of dry & ultra-fine bubbles.
