We've been huge fans of Paolo Scavino Vino Rosso for years, and the newest release keeps that winning streak going strong. Nebbiolo is always the main grape in the Vino Rosso blend, but the supporting grapes change slightly from year to year. For this year's wine, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Merlot have been added to the blend resulting in a red that offers wonderful complexity and concentration as well as a super-approachable style.
The grapes from the younger vines of the Estate combined together, offer a fresh, aromatic, charming wine with a Piedmontese character. Brilliant ruby-red with purple hints. Expressive, bright and delicate aromas of red cherries and spices. Fresh in the nose and on the palate. Supple and fleshy structure - the red & blue fruit flavors are persistent and show great purity. A delicious red which expresses the brightness of the vintage, to drink over the next year or two.
