Morisfarms is a benchmark producer located in the Maremma. For over 300 years, the Moris family has been producing wines in the Maremma region of Tuscany. Maremma comprises the Southwest portion of Tuscany which is known for its pristine agricultural plots, vast forested area, and sun-drenched coastline.
The wine’s name “Rosamundi” refers to a variety of rose which is native to southern and central Europe. It was one of the first species of roses to be cultivated by the Greeks and Romans and was apparently very popular in medieval times.
Rosamundi is 100% Sangiovese. Opens with fresh peach and strawberry aromas complemented by notes of white pepper and white flowers. Juicy and seamless on the palate, offering plump citrus fruit with a hint of red berry flavors, framed with green herb nuances. Finishes with a flash of honeyed citrus & a touch of peppery spice.
