Underground Wine Project started as a joint venture between Washington winemakers Mark Ryan McNeilly (Mark Ryan Winery) and Trey Busch (Sleight of Hand Cellars). It is now all under the Mark Ryan label as Trey focuses on SoH. This is the sixth vintage of Mr. Pink that we have worked with & it just keeps getting better.
Grapes are picked early to preserve the high natural acidity. It is a very pretty pale-salmon color, this blend of Sangiovese and Syrah brings exuberant aromas of white flowers, strawberry bubblegum, honeydew melon and pink-grapefruit peel. It drinks dry with plenty of strawberry, guava, orange blossom and grapefruit flavors that linger on the juicy finish.
