Anne Amie Rose of Pinot Noir

Overview

Pinot reigns supreme at Anne Amie Vineyards with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc forming the heart of their production. Complementing the pinot family is Old-Vine Estate Müller-Thurgau, planted in 1979. The vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and on the steep hillsides of the Chehalem Mountains, both nestled in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley.

They produce a limited amount of the Rosé of Pinot Noir each year. The label for their rosé was designed by local Portland illustrator, Kate Blairstone. Kate took inspiration from the two estate vineyard sites to create a label capturing the vibrancy of life in each vineyard. The brightly colored mix includes radish flowers from vineyard cover crops, Western Bluebirds and wild poppies.

Opens to aromas of orange blossom, Rainier cherry, white flowers, strawberry, honey and lime zest. On the palate, there are flavors of strawberry, plum, pomelo, kumquat marmalade, orange zest and grapefruit. The finish is dry, crisp, mineral focused and long. There is a lot of spring & summer coming up, butnot a lot of this beautiful rosé to go around.
