Gulp/Hablo is the dream of three brothers, Francisco, Javier and Luis Parra. The hope was to celebrate their home of La Mancha by raising organically and biodynamically grown grapes. When it comes to the winemaking behind Friend and Farmer, Hand Work and Gulp/Hablo they partnered with the exceptional Juan Antonio Ponce of Bodegas Ponce.
This is their “orange” wine, a 50/50blend of Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc that macerates in both clay vessels and giant oak vats, fermented with natural yeasts and rests for 8 months in 3000L foudres. Slightly funky (in a good way) on the nose with notes of crisp/ripe apples, white tea & orange blossom. Juicy and zippy on the palate with lush tropical & fleshy citrus fruits, a smidge of a cidery pop and finishes with a flash of alpine herbs & bright orange peel zing. Pair with salads, fried foods, sandwiches, and Asian fare. The best part? It's a 1L bottle, giving you more to love.
