Cascina Ca’ Gialla is a small family farm based in Canale, Roero, a few miles north of Alba and the Barolo zone. . Marco Porello is the third generation of his family to produce wines in Roero. The family owns 15 hectacres of vineyard land in total, all highly regarded locations in two of Roero’s twenty-three villages…The marine clay based Mombirone in the village of Canale, and Tanone in Vezza d’Alba, which is a sandy, limestone-rich site.
His Arneis is a blend of grapes from both Canale and Vezza d'Alba. This is an beautiful Roero Arneis - star bright in the glass lovely white floral & stone fruit notes. On the palate, it is crisp & fresh with juicy flavors of green pear, dried apricot, melon, spiced citrus & toasted almond. It has great balance and length and is an exceptional value. It is incredibly versatile & can pair with anything from cheese & charcuterie to fresh salads to grilled chicken & fish. Also, pretty perfect hanging on the porch on a warm summer day.
