In addition to its Rocha pear orchards, Quinta das Cerejeiras has outstanding vineyards where the Quinta das Cerejeiras Grande Reserva wine, DOC Óbidos, is one of the most renowned and enduring Portuguese brands. The vineyards of Quinta das Cerejeiras are planted with white (Arinto, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Ferno Pires) and red varieties (Castelo, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, and Syrah) on gentle slopes with sandy clay soil that is exposed to the south.
Produced from Vital, Fernão Pires, Arinto & Sauvignon Blanc. Gentle pressing and fermentation between 61ºF to 64ºF (16ºC to 18ºC) with selected yeasts. Bottling after three months on fine lees.
Lightly aromatic with ripe stone fruit and citrus characters. A zesty, easy to drink dry white wine with considerable texture and soft, lightly honeyed fruit on the finish.
