Trousseau is originally from the Jura region of northeastern France, and we are starting to see beautiful examples from California & Oregon. Trousseau is considered fully ripe while at a lower sugar level, so it ends up making lower alcohol, acid driven wine, while also bursting with flavor.
Lo-fi Trousseau is at the top of our “my favorite wine in the shop right now” list. Deceptively light in color with an intensely bright nose of tart red fruits & herbs. The palate is full of crunchy cherry & dark berries, a little pine resin note & all finishes with a bright pop of citrus & spice. There are only 6 cases available of this beauty!
