Villa des Anges Old Vines Rosé is crafted by winemaker Jeff Carrel at the Espitalet des Anges domaine in Capestang. Situated on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, the domaine is owned by Jaqueline Menard de Ginestous, who married-into and is herself from a prominent Languedocienne wine-growing family. Home to a Mediterranean climate, the vineyards grow in ancient alluvial and clay/limestone soils.
Sourced from old, Guyot-trained Cinsault vines averaging 40+ years in age. Sustainably grown. Night harvested. Stainless steel vinifcation at controlled temperatures. Direct pressed, with no maceration. 78% underwent malolactic fermentation. A beautiful pale salmon/onion skin color. Bright & juicy with hints of summer melon, fleshy peaches, strawberries and spring flowers. Simply delicious and easy to drink, with fresh sharp notes of cherries and strawberries for a light, soft with a zippy touch on the palate. Crisp & lively - this is everything we love about rose from the south of France.
