The number one question we get this time of year is, "what's a good wine to pair with turkey?
When we are pairing wines with Thanksgiving meals, it is less about the turkey and ALL about the rest of the players on the table. Most Thanksgiving tables have a variety or aromas, textures, flavors, sweets & savories and a mix of cultures. With all those complex elements on the table it is about finding a wine(s) that can play nicely and compliment the table as a whole. For us, that is crisp & juicy whites, aromatic skin contact wines, bright reds with crunchy fruits. We steer away from big oak & fruit bombs that beat up your palate - gotta save room for pie, right??
