O Fillo de Condesa Albarino

Overview

This wine was produced at Lagar da Condesa, located in the Valle do Salnes in the region of Galicia in the Northwest of Spain, just outside the city of Vigo on the Atlantic coast. Built, owned, and operated by the amazing Gil Family- a 5th generation, almost 110-year-old winery based in Jumilla, Spain. True to its origins, this winery has seamlessly merged tradition and the latest technology with respect for the environment.  This is Lagar’s more modern style of Albarino, fermented in stainless steel, on the lees to give texture and a beautiful creaminess.

The O Fillo da Condesa has the characteristic light but bright straw yellow color with a lively minerality reminiscent of the sea. The wine has verve in the mouth, with well-integrated crisp acidity and great aromatic intensity with hints of lemon and floral notes. The Atlantic Ocean crackles from the glass with a kind of saltiness. Pure and tense on the palate with tangy acidity that provides a lot of energy to the textured palate showing quince, nectarine, green apple and green herbs and spice.
